DO TEACHERS EARN ENOUGH

do teachers earn enoughDO TEACHERS EARN ENOUGH?

Teachers are overworked and underpaid, yet they’re some of the most devoted and caring individuals you’ll ever meet.

It’s a shame that so many have to leave a profession they love in order to find higher-paying jobs.

Unfortunately, the reality is that unless teachers have another source of income besides your teaching salary, it’s difficult to pay for decent housing, let alone enjoy a few luxuries or pay their child’s University Education.

“I own what I create for the classroom.”

Teachers legally own what they create in the classroom. As a teacher, if you create materials on your own time, using your equipment, you have the right to do with them as you please.

Tests, quizzes, homework activities, and other teaching materials, are yours. Lesson plans, schemes of work, charts and the like can be registered in your name. Teachers should own the copyright to the materials they create for use in the classroom.

Teachers who publish online are well-respected because they and value to teaching and professionalism.
